# Do You Need to Perform Puja Before Wearing Rudraksha?

Every Rudraksha from [Kanha Asa](https://kanhaasa.com/rudraksha/) is energized (
Praan Pratishthit) before dispatch, so the wearer does not have to perform any special
puja before wearing it. Still, it is recommended to chant Lord Shiva’s Panchakshari
Mantra, **“Om Namah Shivaya”**, 11 times before wearing it for the first time.
